Our neighbourhood

Before you reach out

  • Is talking to VIVI'R confidential?

Yes. We are a community organization, not the government. Nothing you share with us is reported to CBSA, IRCC, police, your sponsor, or your family. Our staff and volunteers are bound by internal confidentiality practices.

  • Do I need an appointment?

For anything beyond a quick question, we work by appointment so you get real time with someone who can help. Use the form above or email info@vivirlgbtq.org and we'll schedule a time that works for you, evenings and weekends included.

  • What if I only speak Spanish?

No problem. Most of our team speaks Spanish as a first language. We also work in English and can arrange French support when needed, and we bring in interpretation for other languages on request.

  • Do I need status in Canada to reach out?

No. You do not need OHIP, a work permit, PR, or any specific immigration status to contact us. We support people at every stage of their journey, including folks with pending claims, expired status, or no documents at all.

  • Is there a cost for your help?

No. Every VIVI'R program and referral is free. If you ever come across a cost we haven't warned you about, please tell us so we can fix it.

  • I'm in crisis right now. Can you respond quickly?

If you are in immediate danger, please call 911 or one of the 24/7 crisis lines on our Resources page. Our inbox is monitored during the week and we typically respond within 2 to 3 business days. For urgent but non-emergency situations, mention 'urgent' in your message.

  • What happens after I send this form?

A small team member reviews the message, confirms we can help (or refers you to a trusted partner if we can't), and replies from info@vivirlgbtq.org. If it's easier to reach you another way, let us know in the form.

  • Can I stay anonymous?

You can use a first name, a nickname, or even a different name. We only need a way to get back to you. We do not verify identity.
